Tranquil Tulips

I'm not sure if this is a sign or not, but I used a LOT of retired product to make this card. Could it be my subconscious telling me it's time? Probably not, but a person can dream.

This stamp set, Tranquil Tulips, is one of the new Hostess sets available in the 2017/2018 Stampin' Up! catalog. The back of the tulips, black stamens, stems and leaves were stamped directly onto the card. For the front of the tulips, I stamped them onto a separate piece of card stock and cut them out to lay on top. I really like the effect this gives.

Supplies:
Stamps - Tranquil Tulips (143767)
Ink - Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz
Card Stock - Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White
Accessories - all are retired (sorry)

Time for Wine

I'm not sure why I took so long to order this stamp set, but I am really happy I did. I used Michelle Zindorf's card as inspiration - Thank you! I loved the way she used the corks as a frame. Because I was sending my card to a man, I wanted it to appear a bit more masculine. As Michelle said, "Sometimes stamp sets just scream to be used together, such as, the Tuscan Vineyard and the Mixed Drinks."

Supplies:
Stamps - Mixed Drinks (141928), Tuscan Vineyard (141902)
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Old Olive, Soft Suede, Watermelon Wonder
Card Stock - Old Olive, Very Vanilla
Tools - 1" Circle Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch
Techniques - Fussy Cutting

Disclaimer: I do not have Stampin' Up! Watercolor Pencils, so I used what I had in my arsenal for the grapes and the wine opener.

Beautiful Bermuda

I'm working on making a set of cards using the Beautiful You stamps. They are currently one of my favorites. Not only do I use this set for making cards, but I also use them in my journal. I'm not much of a freehand artist, so the stamps help me out a bit.

Wedding Season

It will soon be the season for weddings. I like to give a card as special as the happy couple. I really enjoyed working on this card. After envisioning what I wanted to do, it became so much more when I started putting it together.

My original idea was to create a card with white-on-white. Then, after cutting everything and beginning the placement, I soon decided I wanted a little shimmer. I dug deep into my arsenal and found a little pot of Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint. I think I've had it for about five years and it's still good!

I thought it was complete with the placement of the die-cut images and the "Wedding Wishes" stamp. However, a few days later, I decided it needed more. That's when I added the pearls and rhinestones. This time I know it's complete!

Supplies:
Stamps - Floral Phrases (141767)
Ink - StazOn Jet Black
Card Stock - Whisper White
Accessories - Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint, Pearls, Pretty Pines Thinlits (141851), Rhinestones

Ink - Basic Gray, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Island Indigo, Marina Mist, Old Olive, Real Red, Smoky Slate, Stazon Jet Black
