More Than Cards

A few weeks ago I decided to start another blog - More Than Cards. I wanted a place to share other things I enjoy, besides just my Stampin' Up! cards. (I will continue to do that here.) I will have some cards on my other site, but I will also share other projects and possibly some other activities I enjoy.

Please join me on some other adventures, and let me know what you think.

Wetland Birthday

This is a birthday card for a friend. Of course, looking at just the front, you would never be able to tell it's for a birthday. This layout was inspired by a card I found at Paper Into Love. As you can see, it could be used for a lot of different occasions, or just to send a note to a friend.

Supplies:
Stamps - Wetlands
Paper - Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive, Whisper White
Ink - Elegant Eggplant
Punches - 1" Square, Postage Stamp
Embossing Folder - Square Lattice

The lacy adhesive trim is from Stampin' Up!, but I can't remember what it's called. This is actually the first time I've used it. Not sure what took me so long.

Fun on the River

Part of being on the SplitCoastStampers Creative Crew Design Team means that I will be posting projects that aren't cards! We were given a sketch and asked to create something with a scrapbook focus. It's been a long time since I've created a scrapbook page, so I opted to created it using Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio.

MDS really makes it easy to lay everything out, move things around, and make everything the perfect size. You can check out other projects at the challenge site, and then submit your own work of scrapbook art.

Supplies:
Stamps: Enjoy Every Moment
Paper: Brocade Blue DSP; River Rock Card Stock
Paper Size: 8 x 8
