Painted Blooms

This was just a scrap of DSP, leftover from another card I made. I knew it would be the right backdrop for the butterfly made from Butterflies Thinlits. The sentiment at the bottom is from a retired stamp set, but was perfect for this card.

The matting layers are 3-1/2" x 4-3/8" and 3-3/8" x 4-1/4"; and the DSP is 3-3/16" x 4".
Supplies:
Stamp - Fabulous Florets (ret.)
Cardstock - Blackberry Bliss (133675), Wild Wasabi (108641), Whisper White (100730)
DSP - Painted Blooms (137784)
Ink - Blackberry Bliss (133642)
Accessories - Butterflies Thinlits (137360), Rhinestones (119246)

Amazing Coastal Bloom

I have so much fun coloring with the Blendabilities markers. Using them really has a way of dressing up a stamp. The Coastal Cabana on Sahara Sand really makes the flower stand out.

The layers for this card are the base: 8.5" (folded in half) x 5.5"; middle: 4" x 5.25"; and the top is 3.75" x 5". It's a simple layout, but it works!
Supplies:
Stamps - Blended Bloom (135906), Painted Petals (137146)
Cardstock - Basic Black (121045), Coastal Cabana (131297), Sahara Sand (121043)
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black (132708)
Blendabilities - Coastal Cabana (131000), Daffodil Delight (130998)
Punch - Ticket Corner Small (ret.)

Caterpillar to Butterfly

I had fun playing with this stamp set. The sentiment is perfect for lots of people. Although I punched out the small butterflies, I actually cut out the larger one. Of course, the next day I received the Butterflies Thinlits Dies the following day. Don't you just love the way the larger butterfly has that lacy look?
Supplies:
Stamps - Butterfly Basics
Cardstock - Garden Green, Whisper White
Ink - Garden Green, Melon Mambo, Elegant Eggplant, Memento Tuxedo Black
Punch - Bitty Butterfly

God Bless

I made this card for a friend who is battling cancer. I don't have the words to express to her how I feel about her and what she is fighting. This card is just my way of showing her the beauty I see in her.

Supplies:
Stamps - Painted Petals, Trust God
Cardstock - Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White
DSP - Painted Blooms
Ink - Blackberry Bliss, Wild Wasabi
Punch- Decorative Label

Melon & Wasabi Bouquets

I made these two cards because I was experimenting with Blendabilities techniques. Some people swear by the method of starting with the darkest shade then moving towards the lightest. Others choose to blend from light to dark. Honestly, I can't tell the difference. What do you think? How do you color with your Blendabilities?

Supplies:
Stamps - Butterfly Basics
Cardstock - Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Wild Wasabi
Ink -  Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi, Memento Tuxedo Black
Blendabilities - Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi

Sea Mist

After receiving the Irresistibly Yours DSP, and discovering the sheet with the scallops on it, I knew I needed to use it for a seashore themed card. I had fun playing with the Sea Street stamps and design layouts. I used sponging on the DSP, with four different shades of blue, to give it the variegated appearance.
Supplies:
Stamps - Sea Street
Cardstock - Real Red, Whisper White
DSP - Irresistibly Yours
Ink - Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, Marina Mist, Night of Navy, Pool Party, Real Red, Sahara Sand, Soft Sky

Get Well

I made this card to send to a male, family member who will be having surgery this week. I got the idea from another Stampin' Up! demonstrator. I just loved the way she used the Woodgrain embossing folder to give the appearance of a rippling pond.
Supplies:
Stamps - Wetlands
Cardstock - Baja Breeze, Soft Suede, Whisper White
Ink - Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Memento Tuxedo Black
Embossing Folder - Woodgrain
