Box of Bright Blooms

Playing with the MDS again. This card took me several days to create, and I never needed to clean up my mess at the end of each day. Can you imagine all the scraps of paper lying about after making this many flowers? Not only that, but it would probably be really bulky to mail a card with this many three-dimensional elements. The reason it took so long is because I only had a little bit of time to play each evening.

MDS Supplies:
Stamps - Baroque Motifs, Twitterpated
Elements - Bright Blooms, Gold Brads
DSP - WatercolorWonder
Colors - Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, Daffodil Delight, Gumball Green, Marina Mist, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White

Happy Watercolor

You might have seen on my previous post that my house is under construction. Fortunately, I did not need to pack up my "play room." Unfortunately, I'm not staying at my house right now -- no kitchen, living or dining rooms.

Since I do still have limited down time, I have a need to create something! Yay for MDS! It does take me a bit longer to create a card, but I will be able to print out several of them and use them in the future. I'll even be able to take a basic card and embellish it, or "step it up."

I made this one utilizing the sketch challenge from Operation Write Home.

MDS Supplies:
Stamps - Happy Watercolor
DSP - Watercolor Wonder
Colors - Basic Black, Gumball Green, Pacific Point, Whisper White

Fun on the River

Part of being on the SplitCoastStampers Creative Crew Design Team means that I will be posting projects that aren't cards! We were given a sketch and asked to create something with a scrapbook focus. It's been a long time since I've created a scrapbook page, so I opted to created it using Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio.

MDS really makes it easy to lay everything out, move things around, and make everything the perfect size. You can check out other projects at the challenge site, and then submit your own work of scrapbook art.

Supplies:
Stamps: Enjoy Every Moment
Paper: Brocade Blue DSP; River Rock Card Stock
Paper Size: 8 x 8
Ink: Basic Black

Card Stock - Gumball Green, Island Indigo, Smoky Slate
DSP - Watercolor Wonder
Punch - 1-3/4" Circle

Happy New Year!

Here are four of the final six cards (if I've counted correctly) to be sent with my batch of 100 cards to Operation Write Home. I was hoping to have them sent before the end of the year. Although I'm just now posting them, I did complete them before the end of the year, but they still need to be shipped.

Supplies:
MDS Stamps - Fabulous Florets
Card Stock - Basic Black, Very Vanilla
DSP - Modern Medley
Ink - Pear Pizzazz, Rich Razzleberry
Embossing Folders - Flower Garden, Square Lattice

(The flowers were cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.)

Watercolor Field Flowers

I had fun making this set of five cards on Christmas morning. (The husband was working and the daughter hadn't arrived yet.) The perfect opportunity to play and not feel guilty. See all those flowers, stems and leaves? They were all cut with the Silhouette. My color choices came from the colors used in the Watercolor Wonder DSP. Aren't they a beautiful combination?

Along with the Watercolor Wonder DSP, I used:
Stamps - Field Flowers, Upsy Daisy
Paper - Daffodil Delight, Gumball Green, Island Indigo, Pear Pizzaz, Whisper White
Ink - Daffodil Delight, Gumball Green, Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango
Punches - Decorative Label, Lace Ribbon, Modern Label, Word Window
Embossing Folders - Perfect Polka Dots, Square Lattice

Eleanor Everywhere

More fun with my Silhouette! Again, they all look very similar, but there are subtle differences. You can't really tell from the pictures, but one flower on each of the cards is raised up using dimensionals.

Supplies:
MDS Stamps - Everything Eleanor
Card Stock - Basic Black, Whisper White
DSPn - Riding Hood Red
Ink - Basic Black, Riding Hood Red

My Digital Studio - the beginnings

I'm traveling right now, so I don't have my card-making supplies. In an attempt to not go through withdrawals, I am playing around with MDS2. Stampin' Up! provided a free upgrade and I took advantage! I decided to start slowly and use some card challenges for inspiration only (I will not be submitting it). Aren't those kitties too cute?
MDS Supplies: Stamps - Cute Cats; Paper - Midnight Muse, Rich Razzleberry, More Mustard Brocade DSP; Ink - Midnight Muse, Rich Razzleberry; Ribbon - Rich Razzleberry Grosgrain
