Happiest Season Ever

I do love Christmas. The twinkling of lights surrounded by snow (yes, I like snow during the Christmas holiday); Christmas carols; watching classic (black and white) Christmas movies; sitting by the fire and listening to Nutcracker Suite.

This is a simple card, with a bit of glitter to dress it up a bit.

Stamps - Festival of Trees, More Merry Messages
Cardstock - Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow, Whisper White
Ink - Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow
Accessories - Scallop Trim border punch, Dazzling Details (regular, Cherry Cobbler and Silver Sparkle)

One More Christmas Card

Just when I thought I was all set for Christmas cards, I discovered I needed just a few more. I found a design I really liked at Little Princess Cards, and decided I could make a few of these.

A couple of weeks ago, I would not have attempted to make several last-minute cards with fussy cutting, but things have changed. I finally broke down and bought myself a Silhouette Cameo (early Christmas present). This is my first card utilizing the ease of the Silhouette, and I LOVE IT!
Stamps - Lovely as a Tree, More Merry Messages
Paper - Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White
Ink - Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler, Pear Pizzazz

Sharing the Glory & Hanging the Holly

I spent Saturday at my sister's for a craft day. It's an annual event with friends and family. Just a relaxing day working on whatever craft project we want, eating (of course), and enjoying each others' company.

These are the cards I worked on while I was there.

Ink - Basic Black, Midnight Muse, Night of Navy, Pacific Point

More Merry Ornaments

If you saw my post yesterday, this will look familiar. I decided to see what I could do with my Ornament Keepsakes stamps. This is a quick, easy card to put together. It would be super easy to make a lot of these to send to family and friends. It just takes a little stamping, punching and cutting.
Stamps - More Merry Messages, Ornament Keepsakes
Card Stock - Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White
DSP - Frostwood Lodge
Ink - Cherry Cobbler
Punches - 1" and 1-1/4" Squares
Jewels - Rhinestones

Christmas Easel

This card was a bit of a challenge. I started with a Whisper White card base, but it needed something more. After switching the card base to Basic Gray, it still needed something more, which is why I embossed it with Lacy Brocade.

I liked what I saw, but then the ornaments just didn't work. I originally had the short, squatty one I show below, but I also had a longer, thinner one to the right. I switched that one out for the one below with the sentiment.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, it might take a bit longer, but playing with different layouts pays off in the end.

Stamps - Many Merry Messages, More Merry Messages, Ornament Keepsakes
Stock - Basic Gray, Raspberry Ripple
DSP - Raspberry Ripple
Ink - Basic Black, Basic Gray (daubbed around the edges) Raspberry Ripple
Embossing Folder - Lacy Brocade
Punch - 1" Circle
Framelits - Holiday Ornaments
Sizzix Die - Top Note
I also used Clear and Iridescent embossing powder, Rhinestones, Bakers Twine

Christmas Blessings

I needed to make one final (maybe) Christmas card. This is a special one to be used by my church to give a monetary Christmas gift to our new pastor and his wife. And, because I sometimes have a difficult time coming up with ideas, I went to The Paper Players for inspiration, and further inspiration from Black Tie Fridays. Their challenge this week is for a Clean and Simple (CAS) card featuring a snowflake. This idea fit perfectly with my needs and I'm quite pleased with the result.
