Mosaic Medley

This is a "No Brainer" card for the SplitCoastStampers Creative Crew Stampin' Up! Demonstrators' February Challenge. Just looking at it, it does look like a simple, "no brainer" design, and I'm really happy with the results. So why did I struggle putting it together?

If I were to re-create this card, it would be a no brainer, because I can now see all the elements. The struggle comes from pulling the elements together, not the actual layout. When I struggle with elements, I don't actually glue anything down immediately. For this card, the final pieces that pulled the design together were the "framing" of the elements (the Very Vanilla under the Basic Black, the Basic Black under the Cherry Cobber, and the Cherry Cobbler ribbon under the Crumb Cake ribbon). Yep, those were the elements I needed to pull it all together.
Supplies:
Stamps - Mosaic Madness
Card Stock - Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla
DSP - Modern Medley
Ink - Cherry Cobbler
Accessories - Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake ribbon; Mosaic punch; Adorning Accents embossing folder; Rhinestones

Quatrefancy Madness

This is a very versatile layout. I used it last year to make some of my Christmas cards. For this card, I got to use both sides of a piece of DSP.

More Fun With Mosaics

I'm really having fun playing with the mosaic pattern. With this card I'm using Sycamore Street DSP, Mosaic Madness stamp with the coordinating Mosaic punch, and the Modern Mosaic embossing folder. I pulled everything together using Island Indigo and Whisper White.

Bermuda Bay Madness

I'm at it again - CASEing someone else's work. Another Stampin' Up! demonstrator made a card very much like this one. So, of course, I had to try out the style. Although it took a lot of stamping and punching, the process was very fast. Also, because I didn't have any Bermuda Bay cardstock, I stamped a large circle of ink on Whisper White cardstock, then punched out the little flowers.

Supplies: Stamps - Mosaic Madness; Paper - Whisper White; Ink - Bermuda Bay; Punches - Mosaic, Itty Bitty Shapes (small flower); Jewels - Pearls, Rhinestones; Embossing Folder - Modern Mosaic

Mad for Flowers

I've been on vacation for just over a week, and have been itching to create. I previously made a card similar to this one, but have since sent it to a special someone. Therefore, I wanted to have something similar available. Since it does take a bit of time (due to heat embossing on the vellum jar and cutting flowers and leaves), I like to have a spare, just in case.
Supplies: Stamps - A Round Array, Mosaic Madness, Papaya Collage, Perfectly Preserved; Paper - Pistachio Pudding, Vellum, Whisper White; Ink - Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Gumball Green, Pistachio Pudding, Pool Party, Strawberry Slush, Summer Starfruit; Accessories - Clear Embossing Powder, Scallop Trim Punch
