Birthday Roses

This is so exciting. This my first post as a member of the Creative Crew Team at SplitCoastStampers. I was invited to be a part of the Team and will be taking on this challenge for the next four months. I would love it if you would follow me along this journey.

The first challenge - DSP/Color focus: Show us your take on new Fancy Foil Designer Vellum, using some cool wintery colors (cool blues, soft pinks, all mixed up with some earthy tones of red berries, evergreens). All of the challenges can be found here

It's a little difficult to tell, but under the Fancy Foil Designer Vellum I sponged some Soft Blue and Pink Pirouette.

Stamps - Papaya Collage, Label Love
Card Stock - Smoky Slate, Whisper White
DSP - Fancy Foil Designer Vellum

Fabulous Flowers and Lattice

I saw a card recently created by Stamping & Scrapping with Deb Valder. I really liked her idea of placing the lattice behind the Window Frame cut-out. After putting this one together, my husband decided it would be a great card to give to some friends of ours who are getting married at the end of the month.

I really like the way this card turned out, but it truly was challenging to put together. Because I didn't want the lattice overlap to be visible on the inside of the card, I placed a second sheet of card stock on the inside (attached to the back of the front), which I then die-cut the two pieces at the same time. Then I slid the corners of the lattice piece between the two sheets.

Mad for Flowers

I've been on vacation for just over a week, and have been itching to create. I previously made a card similar to this one, but have since sent it to a special someone. Therefore, I wanted to have something similar available. Since it does take a bit of time (due to heat embossing on the vellum jar and cutting flowers and leaves), I like to have a spare, just in case.
Supplies: Stamps - A Round Array, Mosaic Madness, Papaya Collage, Perfectly Preserved; Paper - Pistachio Pudding, Vellum, Whisper White; Ink - Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Gumball Green, Pistachio Pudding, Pool Party, Strawberry Slush, Summer Starfruit; Accessories - Clear Embossing Powder, Scallop Trim Punch

Elements of a Collage

Through Pinterest, I discovered another blog - My Sandbox. I can't believe I am admitting this, but it took me almost all day to "almost" replicate her card. However, I like her card so much, I was determined to complete it. I would never have come up with this, because she used elements from several stamp sets, and managed to pull them all together.

Papillon Collage

I haven't made an easel card in a long time, so I decided today was the day. The layout for this card just screamed that it be able to stand on its own. The colors are from the Dynamic Duos challenge this week, "A Breath of Spring with Yellow and Green." The cute "hello" tag and coordinating punch is from the Sale-A-Bration (SAB) catalog available for just a limited time.
